MSC首席执行官：航运是“为善的力量”

９月１５日，在伦敦国际航运周的主题演讲中，　ＭＳＣ首席执行官Ｓｏｒｅｎ　Ｔｏｆｔ将航运描述为一股“为善的力量”，并对当下热点脱碳、船期可靠性问题作出回应。　　“我们需要向外界阐明航运是一股‘为善的力量’。几十年来，航运为全球供应链的完整作出了巨大贡献，使得全球贸易更为通畅，全球经济蒸蒸日上，”　Ｓｏｒｅｎ　Ｔｏｆｔ在演讲中表示：“过去只能服务于本地市场的生产者，现在他们的产品通过航运面向全球。”　　在演讲中，Ｓｏｒｅｎ　Ｔｏｆｔ也对船期可靠性以及脱碳问题进行了回应。Ｓｏｒｅｎ　Ｔｏｆｔ表示，由于Ｃｏｖｉｄ－１９的影响，亚洲到欧美货运量激增，港口出现拥堵，船期可靠性受到严重影响，各大航运公司在这方面还有长足进步的空间。在脱碳方面，其认为有必要要对航运脱碳进行投资。　　即将登顶集装箱航运公司之最的ＭＳＣ已承诺将进行航运脱碳。但在今年６月，Ｓｏｒｅｎ　Ｔｏｆｔ对碳税是否是激励航运脱碳的有效方式表示怀疑。当时，其表示征收燃油税可能不会激励船东转变，因为目前　＂长期零碳解决方案根本不存在＂。Ｓｏｒｅｎ　Ｔｏｆｔ呼吁ＩＣＳ征收每吨２美元的研发税，为零碳燃料的研究制定一个１０年研究计划。　　但在周三的伦敦航运周活动中，Ｓｏｒｅｎ　Ｔｏｆｔ支持基于市场的措施，可能包括对燃油税的征收。　　今年早些时候，Ｓｏｒｅｎ　Ｔｏｆｔ的前老板——马士基首席执行官　Ｓｏｒｅｎ　Ｓｋｏｕ提议每吨船用燃料征收至少　４５０　美元的碳税，这是迄今为止行业参与者最激进的脱碳提议。２０１９年１０月，这家丹麦承运人在其脱碳行动中确定了三种重点燃料，即可再生甲醇、沼气和氨气。为了证明零碳技术的可行性，２０２１年８月２４日，马士基与现代重工签订了前所未有的八艘大型甲醇集装箱船订单，成为第一家部署脱碳船舶的班轮公司。　　作为全球最大班轮公司的掌舵人，Ｓøｒｅｎ　Ｓｋｏｕ一直对航运脱碳“野心勃勃”。近日，　Ｓøｒｅｎ　Ｓｋｏｕ更是在社交媒体上直接就脱碳问题上向监管机构发出呼吁，在２０３５年之前逐步淘汰所有化石燃料的船舶。　　Ｓøｒｅｎ　Ｓｋｏｕ在社交媒体上表示：＂欧盟委员会提议在２０３５年结束内燃机汽车的生产，国际海事组织也应该对化石燃料船舶采取同样的措施，以实现航运的去碳化。＂
