壳牌与三家船东签租约租入10艘LNG动力VLCC

壳牌日前发布公告称，公司已经与三家船东公司签署租船合同，将租入10艘LNG动力VLCC，其中包括土耳其船东Advantage Tankers的4艘、马来西亚AET的3艘以及美国公司International Seaways的3艘，全部10艘均由大宇造船建造，从2022年开始陆续交付，租期7年。　　壳牌表示，为这批VLCC选择的主发动机和船舶设计意味着该系列船有着最低的甲烷泄漏率和最高的燃料效率，与当前在运营VLCC相比平均可以减少约20%的燃料消耗。　　目前，壳牌的长期租赁船队正持续大力投资LNG动力船，今年年底其船队将有14艘LNG动力船投入运营。　　加上最新的10艘订单在内，全球双燃料LNG动力船船队数量将增加至475艘。根据壳牌预测，到2023年全球LNG双燃料动力船数量将增加一倍。虽然LNG并非零碳燃料，但这是航运业实现2050年温室气体减排目标的关键性过渡燃料。　　壳牌航运和海事业务全球负责人Grahaeme Henderson表示：“航运业必须立即使用最清洁燃料。在目前和可预见的未来，LNG是新造船项目的首选，可以确保我们在努力开发零排放燃料的同时，不会增加更重的排放源。”　　“这一重大承诺将见证壳牌在船队脱碳方面达到新的里程碑。在我们定期租赁的原油船中，平均50%在投入运营后由LNG双燃料发动机提供动力。我们迫切需要解决行业的排放问题，在开发零排放燃料的同时采用液化天然气，这将大大改善累积排放。”　　壳牌正致力于在欧洲、亚洲、北美主要港口的全球贸易航线上提供LNG，以满足油船、散货船和班轮行业持续增长的客户需求。到2023年，船用LNG需求预计将提高到约360万吨，将有45艘LNG加注船投入使用。　　International Seaways总裁兼首席执行官Lois K.
